Deputy Fin Min says govt did not order 50% of profit divs by Gazprom
MOSCOW, May 16 (PRIME) -- A government order for 2017 dividends by Russian gas giant Gazprom does not require payment of 50% of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) net profit, Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev told reporters on Wednesday.
“We have approved the order as it was: there was no 50%,” Moiseyev said.
Gazprom’s dividends for 2016 amounted to 190.327 billion rubles, or 20% of the IFRS net profit for the year. Gazprom’s executives earlier offered to pay 190 billion rubles in 2017 dividends as well.
